The goal is to aid humanity. Some humans tend to create a lot of chaos and dis-order, so its only right that some of the other humans focus on how to make tools that are solution and order oriented.
Project Description
The rules of the Gada prize are as such:
- Print at least three different materials, including one that is usefully electrically conductive.
- Is likely to be:
- Plastics
- Cheramics
- and anything that can go into a syringe
- Demonstrate the ability to print electronic circuit boards.
- Well "print" or at least create and assist in all aspects of electronic circuit board poduction
- Any print beds must be of a material which may be reused with minimal refurbishment for at least 20 print cycles.
- Glas is the likely candidate
- Maintain a total materials and parts cost under $200.
- Hmm a tough one, so far we are getting
- 5 steppers
- Electronics
- Plastics
- Cheramics
- Bearings
- Screws
- Extruder
- Hot-end
- Build-Plate
- 90% of the volume of the device's components shall be printed.
- We have so far printed many standard RepRap's
- Demonstrate a build volume greater than 300mm[11.81in] x 300mm[11.81in] x 100mm[3.94in].
- The capacity to print a full set of components for a complete replica of itself within 10 days unattended save for clearing no more than one printer head jam.
- The ability to print autonomously without a PC attached.
- Todays electronics can do that just fine
- Uses no more than 60 watts of electrical power.
- A tough one, @12V no more than 5 Amps must be used. But we have ten days to go through the motions so maybe its do-able.
