RUG/Pennsylvania/State College/Printers/PSU Unit Yellow
Introduction
This page is dedicated to the PSU Unit Yellow 3D printer. This unit will follow the design of the Open Hybrid Mendel developed by students of the EDSGN 497 class at The Pennsylvania State University.
This printer is mainly comprised of yellow frame pieces. The Z axis motors plates are a unique green color because those parts were printed on the makerbots in the PSU Learning Factory.

Work in Progress
Frame
The frame of the printer has be completed. The y axis bed frame has also been finished and needs installed. The bed plate is with the frame and needs to be drilled and mounted to the y axis assembly. An entruder has been printed and assembled and is waiting for the x axis to be finished. Once finishing the xz axis assembly, the frame needs to be squared up. Also check all hardware for proper tightness and that bearing slide properly on rails.
Electronics
The Ramps board has been soldered and mounted on the frame. It is missing some motor drivers because some were robbed to provide working driver boards for the Rainbow and Orange 2 printers. Motors have been prepared by braiding the 4 strand wires and are ready to be installed. Thermocouple board needs to be sourced and a wire need made.
