Details
Unit One is the first fully printed child of Unit Zero. It is a Mendel style machine utilizing various design modifications, including:
- Camiel's Vertex design
- Mendel Alternate X Motor Bracket
- OpenX
- OpenY
- Herringbone Extruder Gear on an otherwise unaltered Wade's Extruder
Like Unit Zero, Unit One uses a 4th stepper controller to drive the extruder motor. It operates using TechZone Gen3 electronics. Cold Cathode UV lights (run off of the native 12V power supply) assist in viewing translucent blue PLA, which exhibits fluorescence under UV.
